Special Police Task Force Personal Attached To Finance Ministry Arrested A Person With A Stock Of Illegal Foreign Liquor Bottles
The Special Police Task Force personal attached to the Illicit Liquor Raid Unit of Finance Ministry had arrested a person with 108 bottles of illegally imported Liquor Bottles in his possession at Jawatte Road in Narahenpita(Colombo) today(23).
The suspect was arrested while transporting the stock of Foreign Liquor Bottles through a Motor Car it has been reported.
The value of the stock of Liquor Bottles arrested is estimated as Rs.1 million .The suspect was handed over to the Excise Department for further investigations on the incident.

A Large Piece Of Metal Believed To Be Of An Aircraft Had Been Recovered From Eastern Sri Lankan Seas
A large piece of metal believed to be a part of an Aircraft had been recovered this morning (23)after it washed ashore at the Kaludawali Beach in Kalawanchikudi,Batticaloa District(Eastern Province).
The 15 foot long Metal Piece which is in a cylinder shape had been recovered as per a tip received from a fishermen in the area according to Sri Lanka Navy.The Metal Piece was taken to the Trincomalee Naval Base it has been reported.
Authorities suspected that it might be a part of an Indian Coast Guard Observation Craft which disappeared few months ago at Palk Strait.
The investigations on the piece of Metal is due to be carried out by Sri Lanka Air force.

Sri lanka Navy Arrested Nine Local Fishermen While Engaging Illegal Fishing
Sri Lanka Navy personal have arrested Nine local fishermen yesterday(22) while engaging illegal fishing in Sri Lankan waters off Silwathurai area (Northern Province)by using illegal fishing equipment.
During the raid carried out by Sri Lanka Navy Personal two fishing nets and two dinghi boats were also taken into custody it has been reported.
The arrested fishermen and equipment were handed over to the inspector of fisheries in Mannar for future course of action.
