President Sirisena Is Due To Visit Malaysia From 15-17th Of December
President Maithripala Sirisena is due to visit Malaysia from 15-17th of December for a three day state visit.
During the visit President is due to sign six mutual agreements with Malaysian Government.Accordingly mutual agreements on the fields of Tourism related activities,training,research and public administration, cultural,art and heritage and youth development will be signed between Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

Ongoing Construction Work Of World's Tallest Christmas Tree In Galle Face Has Suspended
The ongoing construction work of the world's tallest artificial Christmas Tree at Galle Face Green launched by Minister of Ports Arjuna Ranathunge has suspended after the heavy money spending project becomes under criticism from various sectors in the society most recently by the Colombo Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith.
Around 50% work of the 325 feet high Artificial Christmas Tree which due to beet the previous tallest Christmas Tree in the world built in Mexico has already finished it has been reported.
Around Rs.1 million had already spent for the Christmas tree project and need around one million pinus fruit for the project according to reports.
The Colombo Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has requested the authorities yesterday (06)to donate the money due to spend to build the remain part of the Christmas Tree to poor as Sri Lanka do not want such luxurious projects.

Excise Department Officials Had Arrested Two Persons With 1.1 Kilo Grammes Of Cocaine
Officers attached to Department Of Excise have arrested two persons with 1.1 Kilo Grammes of Cocaine in their possession near Thalduwa Bridge in Awissawella(Colombo) this morning.
The two persons were arrested while they attempted to sell the stock of Cocaine to a Excise Department Official for Rs.8 million it has been reported.
The worth of the Stock of Cocaine taken into custody is estimated as around Rs.10 million.
The suspects who are residents in Dikoya and Hatton areas are due to be produced before the Awissawella Magistrate Court.
