Representatives Of All Ceylon Private Pharmacy Owners Union And Drug Traders Association To Corporate The Selling Of 48 Price Reducted Drugs For Reduced Prices
During the meeting the Representatives had also informed the chairman of the Drug Regulatory Authority Professor Asitha De Silva and Chief Executive Officer of the Authority Dr.Kamal Jayasinghe that they are facing difficulties when implementing the reduced Drug Prices as Companies importing Drugs to Sri Lankan not taken steps to withdraw the previous stocks of drugs issued to them and issue a fresh stocks of drugs marked with reduced prices .
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Drug Regularity Authority had promised the representatives of All Ceylon Private Pharmacy Owners Association and Drug Traders Association to solve their problem through discussion with Drug Importing Companies under the instructions of Health Minster.
Air Port Customs Officers Had Arrested A Sri Lankan With 36,200 Illegal Cigarettes At Katunayake Air Port
The worth of the stock of Cigarettes arrested by the Air Port Customs is worth around Rs,1.5 million it has been reported.
The suspect who is a Dematagoda Resident arrived in Katunayake Air Port from a Fly Dubai Flight and he had been previously too arrested by the Air Port Customs officers while attempting to smuggle illegal Cigarettes to the country according to sources.
The Air Port Customs Officers had fined the suspect Rs.150,000 after conducted an investigation on the incident and Customs are further investigating on the incident.
