Police Narcotics Bureau Had Detained An Indian National With Haul Of Heroin At Katunayake Air Port

The Police Narcotics Bureau Officials had today (28) detained an Indian National who attempted to enter Sri Lanka with 838 grammes of Heroin in his possession at the Katunayake,Bandaranaike International Air Port .

The Police Narcotics Bureau is due to obtain a detention order from the Negambo Magistrate Court regarding the suspect to carry out further investigations on tbe incident.

Body Of The 15 Year Old Boy Who Was Drowned While Sea Bathing At Angulana Recovered

The police have today (28) recovered the body of the 15 year old boy who was drowned while sea bathing at Angulana (In Colombo).

The body of the boy was recovered during the joint search operation carried out by Navy Personal and Angulana Police officers .

The body of the deceased had been sent to Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for the post mortem.

Director General Of Health Services Has Instructed The Kalubowila Hospital Director To Conduct An Investigation On Sexually Abusing A Girl By A Government Hospital Doctor

Director General Of Health Services Dr.Palitha Mahipala has yesterday (27) instructed the Director of Kalubowila (Southern Colombo)Teaching Hospital Dr.Asela Gunawardena to conduct a proper investigation on the incident regarding sexually abusing a young girl who came to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for a medical examination by a doctor of the same hospital.

The girl had been sexually abused by the doctor at Judicial Medical Officers(JMO) Office of the Kalubowila Hospital it has been reported,
