The Disaster Management Center (DMC)has today(15) issued landslide warnings to seven districts as the current prevailing heavy showers expected to continue.
Accordingly landslide warnings issued to Badulla,Kurunagala,Monaragala,Kandy,Ratnapura,Nuwara Eliya and Kegalle Districts.
The DMC has also advised the people living in these districts to be on alert on Mountain areas,Roads and man made cut slopes.
During the 24 hour period from yesterday(14) noon to this noon highest rain falls reported from Colombo and Pothuvil with 128 mili meters and 144 mili meters respectively it has been reported.
