Inland Revanue Deaprtment And Central Bank Investigating On Sri Lankans Whose Names Revealed Through Panama Papers-Finanace Minister
The Inland Revenue Department and Monetary Control Department of the Central Bank are investigating on every Sri Lankan whose names were revealed through leaked Panama Papers for invested their money in foreign countries illegally according to Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake.
The government will not allow to hide any documents related to those Sri Lankan Investors revealed through Panama Papers on last Monday(09) the Finance Minister has stated.

Financial Crimes Investigation Division Has Detained Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapakshe
The Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID)has today(12) detained former minister of economic development basil rajapakshe over a land issue in Matara (In Southern Province) .
The former minister who is also the younger brother of former president mahinda rajapakshe was detained after he gave a statement to FCID regarding the allegation leveled against him this morning .
He was detained in April last year over a financial irregularities occurred in Divi Naguma Department attached to his ministry then and was released on bail in last June .The court case regarding financial irregularities in divi naguma department is still pending at Kaduwela Magistrate Court.

Ministry Of Health To Implement A Proposal On Grow Cannabis Locally And Exporting It To Western Countries
A proposal has been received by the Ministry Of Health ,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to grow Cannabis (Kansa) locally and export it to western countries for manufacture of drugs according to the Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne.
Addressing a launching ceremony of new Ayurveda Products held at Waters edge Hotel in Battaramulla on Tuesday 10) evening Health Minister has stated that his ministry has decided to implement the proposal as there's a growing demand for Cannabis to manufacture drugs.
Cannabis mainly used in Sri Lanka to manufacture traditional Ayuveda Drugs .
