A 24 Year Old Youth Who Involved In 23 Gold Jewelry Robberies Was Detained
A 24 year old youth who was allegedly involved in 23 gold jewelry robberies in Jaffna(In Northern Province) has been arrested today(06) by the Police at Chunnakam Area.
The Chunnakam Police had arrested the suspected youth after investigations on his robberies it has been reported.
The suspect was found as involved in a series of gold jewelry robberies which were taken place at Chunnakam,Telippalai,Kopay and Achchuveli Areas in Northern Province.

Kaduwela Magistrate Court Rejected The Foreign Tour Application Of Former President's Son Yoshitha Rajapakshe
The Kaduwela Magistrate Court today(06) rejected the application submitted by Yoshitha Rajapakshe the second son of former president Mahinda Rajapakshe seeking permission to travel Uganda with his father for the swearing in ceremony of that country's president Yoweri Musaveni.
Yoshitha Rajapakshe who is formally attached to Sri Lanka Navy and recently detained over money laundering charges is currently out on bail and barred from travelling oversees due to the charges against him.
While rejecting the application of former president's son the Kaduwela Magistrate had informed him to direct the application to the High Court.

Mahara Magistrate Has Remanded Seven Students Of Kelaniya University Until 17th of May Regarding Severely Ragging A New Female University Student
Kiribathgoda Police have today(06) arrested another two students attached to Kelaniya University regarding severely ragging a new female student of the University and both students along with five other students of the same university detained yesterday(05) over the case have been remanded until 17th of May by the Mahara Magistrate.
Two students who were arrested today have surrendered to the Police it has been reported.
The all seven Kelaniya University Students detained over the ragging case were produced before Mahara Magistrate Court this morning.
The above mentioned University Students were detained according to a complaint filed at police by a new female student attached to Kelaniya University by stating the suspect students severely ragged over wearing a long trouser to the university.
The senior female students of the kelaniya university have prohibited first year female students from wearing long trousers for the university for one year period.The new female university student was subjected for ragging due to ignoring this instruction.
