Share Transaction Levy To Be Re Imposed From 15th Of April

The share transaction levy which was abolished through the 2016 budget proposals  is due to be re imposed with effect from 15th of April according to the Colombo Stock Exchange.

From the turnover of every share trading transaction the  share transaction levy will be imposed from every buyer and seller the Stock Exchange has announced.

The share transaction levy  is due to be re imposed from 15th of April  at the rate of 0.3% from every buyer and seller at the Colombo Stock Exchange it has been stated.

Two Japanese Naval Ships Arrived In Sri Lanka

Two Japanese Naval Ships belonging to Japanese Navy "Makinami" and "Susunami: have arrived in Colombo Harbor for a goodwill visit it has been announced.

Developing the cordial relationship between Sri Lankan and Japanese Navies is the aim of visiting Japanese Ships according to sources.

The two naval ships are due to stay here until 14th of April and during their stay Sri Lankan and Japanese Navies are due to conduct joint naval exercises sources have revealed.

DIG S.M Wikramasinghe Has Been Appointed As Acting IGP

President Maithripala Sirisena has  today (12) appointed Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG) S.M.Wikramasinghe as acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP).

DIG Wikramasinghe will acting in IGP Post until the Constitutional Council Appoint a new IGP on 18th of April .IGP N.K Ilangakoon has retired from his service yesterday(11).

Sri Lanka Cricket To Appoint Former Sri Lankan Cricket Captain Sanath Jayasuriya As New Chief Cricket Selector

The Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to appoint former Sri Lankan Cricket Captain and Chairman of National Cricket Selection Committee Sanath Jayasuriya as the new chairman of National Cricket Selection Committee .

Sanath Jayasuriya will be appointed as the Chief Cricket Selector in view of taking Sri Lankan Cricket to a  new path according to President Of Sri Lanka Cricket  Thilanga Sumathipala.

Sri Lankan National Cricket Team has recently experienced heavy defeats in series matches as well as in Asia Cup and 20-20 World Cup.

The Former Cricket Captain Jayasuriya has been stepped down from Chief Cricket Selector's post he held earlier exactly a year ago..

Meanwhile Former Sri Lankan opener Romesh Kaluwitharana and Ranjith Madurasinghe also due to be appointed to the National Cricket Selection Committee headed by Sanath Jayasuriya according to Sri Lanka Cricket sources.

The current Chief Cricket Selector Aravinda De Silva is due to appoint as a national adviser to Sri Lanka Cricket.
