Maligawatte Police Have Arrested A Person With 2 Grammes And 760 Mili Grammes Of Heroin In His Possession

Maligawatte Police have today (18)arrested a person with 2 Grammes and 760 Mili Grammes of Heroin in his possession at Molawatte in Grandpass Area(In Colombo).

The suspect who is a resident of Gothatuwa Area is due to be produced before Maligakande Magistrate Court.

Sudden Fire Has Broken Out At A Ceylon Electricity Board's Grid Sub Station

A sudden fire has  broken out at a Grid Sub Station attached to Ceylon Electricity Board(CEB) at Ja Ela-Kotugoda this evening as a result of an explosion occurred at a Transformer there according to reports.

The fire brigade arrived at the scene has managed to doused the fire completely the reports have stated.

Due to the fire the power supply to the Negambo area has been stopped the sources said.

Seven National Freedom Front Members Including It's Leader Wimal Weerawansha Were Released On Bail Over Complaint Against Them

Image result for releaseThe leader of the  National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansha and six of his party members were released on bail today(18) by the Colombo Magistrate's Court regarding a complaint filed against them by Cinamon Gardens Police on a protest they were organized against the arrival of  United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Prince Zeid Raad Al Hussain .

The seven National Freedom Front members have been charged for causing incovenience to the public by blocking a  road in Colombo without an approval of authorities on the day UN High Commissioner For Human Rights arrived.

North Western Provincial Councilor Was Arrested Over Verbally Abusing Zonal Educational Director

The Puttalam (In North Western Province) Police have yesterday(17) arrested North Western Provincial Council UPFA Member N.T.M Thahir for allegedly verbally abusing and attempting to assault the Puttalam Zonal Educational Director Sarath Wijesinghe .

The accused Provincial Councilor has been arrested after he appeared before Puttalam Police yesterday afternoon with his two attorneys.
