The Puttalam (In North Western Province) Police have yesterday(17) arrested North Western Provincial Council UPFA Member N.T.M Thahir for allegedly verbally abusing and attempting to assault the Puttalam Zonal Educational Director Sarath Wijesinghe .The accused Provincial Councilor has been arrested after he appeared before Puttalam Police yesterday afternoon with his two attorneys.
