Main Suspect Of Five Year Old Seya Sadewmini's Rape And Murder Has Been Sentenced To Death By Negambo High Court

The main suspect of the rape and murder of five year old Seya Sadewmini in Kotadeniyawa Area(In Western Province) Saman Jayalath has been sentenced to death with an additional 60 year imrisonment by Negambo High Court this morning.

The Negambo High Court Judge Champa Janaki Rajaratne has delivered the death sentence to the suspect Saman Jayalath who found guilty for the rape and murder five year old girl near her residence.

DNA Test done in this regard proved Jayalath responsible for girl's rape and murder.

Five Year old Seya Sadewmini was sexually assaulted and strangled to death near her residence at Kotadeniyawa on 13th of September 2015.

Three Factory Workers Died Due To A Fire Broke Out At A Fireworks Factory In Kimbulapitiya

Three factory workers  died due to a fire broke out  as a result of an explosion at a Fireworks Factory in Kimbulapitiya,Katana  this morning.

The three factory workers who suffered with severe burns have succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to Negambo Hospital according to Police.The identities of the deceased not yet revealed Police have said.

The Fireworks Factory Building was  destroyed due to the fire and total damage has not yet been estimated it has been reported.

President Has Instructed The Authorities To Widen Paddy Storage Facilities In The Island

Image result for paddy ricePresident Maithripala Sirisena has instructed the authorities to widen the paddy storage facilities in the island  in view of purchasing  Paddy from farmers without a delay in the forthcoming season.

President has also instructed the authorities  to built temporary stores If the current paddy storage facilities are not adequate .

No Final Decision On Increasing Allowances To The MP's -Speakers Office

The Office of the Speaker Of Parliament has announced that a final decision has not yet been made regarding the increasing of  allowances to the  Parliamentarians .

A Committee of the Parliament which represented by all MP's  has recently met and approved several proposals regarding increasing of allowances to the Parliamentarians but it's not the final decision of the government  the Speakers Office has stated.

Supreme Court Has Decided To Close The Proceedings Of Fundamental Rights Petition Filed By Mother Of HIV Rumored Child In Kuliyapitiya

The Supreme Court has today(14) decided to close the proceedings of a Fundamental Rights Petition filed by the mother of the six year old kuliyapitiya child who is rumored as a HIV Positive by stating the child's fundamental rights have been violated through refusing to admit him to a school, after the government lawyer has indicated that the child will soon received the admission to  Trinity Collage ,Kandy to carryout his education.

The Government Lawyer has shown that due to this there's no need to proceed the case anymore.

After closed the proceedings of  fundamental rights petition the Bench of Judges attached to Supreme Court has urged that the  government should have a programme to protect the rights of HIV Positives in Sri Lanka.
