The Supreme Court has today(14) decided to close the proceedings of a Fundamental Rights Petition filed by the mother of the six year old kuliyapitiya child who is rumored as a HIV Positive by stating the child's fundamental rights have been violated through refusing to admit him to a school, after the government lawyer has indicated that the child will soon received the admission to Trinity Collage ,Kandy to carryout his education.The Government Lawyer has shown that due to this there's no need to proceed the case anymore.
After closed the proceedings of fundamental rights petition the Bench of Judges attached to Supreme Court has urged that the government should have a programme to protect the rights of HIV Positives in Sri Lanka.
