Eleven Persons Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Van-Tipper Truck Collision At Nelumdeniya

Image result for accident graphicEleven Persons injured and hospitalized when the Van they were travelling in veered off the road and crashed against a Tipper Truck which was parked at Roadside in Dadigama ,Nelumdeniya(In Central Province) Area this morning according to the Dadigama Police.

There were five females among those injured and admitted to Kegalle Hospital for treatment due to the crash the Police have said.

The crashed Van which travelling from Kandy to Colombo at the time of accident veered off the road due to the driver of the vehicle had lost control it has been revealed.

Dadigama Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.

A Ship Belonging To Coastal Guard Force Of Maldives "Huravi" Arrived At Sri Lanka

A Ship belonging to Coastal Guard Force  of Maldives "Huravi" has arrived Colombo Harbor yesterday(26) for a goodwill tour.

A special discussion was also held between the Chief Commander of the Ship Captain Hassan Shinan and Sri Lanka Navy Commander Rear Admiral Jayantha De Silva to mark the Goodwill Tour of "Huravi" Ship to Sri Lanka.

The Maldivian Ship is due to leave Sri Lanka on 28th of February.

Would Like To Consider International Participation For The Investigations On Alleged War Crimes-Sri Lankan Foreign Minister

The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera who is currently visiting United States Of America has said on Thursday(25) that he would like to consider the international participation to the investigations on  alleged war crimes occurred during the final phase of war between Sri Lankan Army and LTTE Terrorists.

The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister has told at the Washington think tank ,with the participation of International Judges for the proposed investigations on alleged war crimes some form of guarantee can be given to victims of war that the new courts will be delivered justice and accountability in fair manner .

However Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has recently said that Foreign Participation is not needed for an impartial inquiry on alleged war crimes set to be conducted through a local mechanism.

Excavations Were Carried Out At A Block Of Land Belonging To Former President's Chief Security Officer To Recover Hidden Currency And Gold

The Police Teams have yesterday(26) excavated a block of land at Attanayala in Weeraketiya Area(In Southern Province) which belonging to  wife of Major Neville Wanniarachchi who was the Chief Security Officer of former President Mahinda Rajapakshe for the purpose of recovering Currency and Gold suspected to be buried at the property.

The excavations were carried out by under the special security of Police Special Task Force Personal and Police Officers in yesterday morning according to the sources.

The excavations were carried out according to the court order issued to the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division.However no currency or gold buried at the property has found during the excavations the Police have revealed.

Two big holes were dug up at the block of land belonging to the wife of former president Rajapakshe's chief security officer situated near a cemetery according to Police.The digged land had used for Coconut Cultivation it has been revealed.
