A Soldier Attached To Palali Air Force Camp Committed Suicide By Shooting Himself

A Soldier attached to Palali(In Northern Province) Air Force Camp has committed suicide this morning at the Camp by shooting himself according to the Police.

The 23 year old deceased Soldier who was a resident in Karagoda,Galle (In Southern Province)had shot himself by using his fire arm the Police have said.

The Body of the deceased Soldier is at Jaffna Teaching Hospital for pending an Autopsy and the Police and Army are conducting separate investigations on the incident.

A Bangladeshi National With Over Three Kilo Grammes Of Heroin Has Been Arrested On His Arrival At Katunayake ,International Air Port

The Police Narcotic Bureau Officials have yesterday(21)morning  arrested a Bangladeshi National who arrived at Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Air Port with haul of Heroin weighing 3 Kilo Grammes and 400 Grammes in his possession .

The haul of Heroin was concealed inside the luggage of  suspected Bangladeshi National who arrived at Katunayake Air Port from Dhaka,Bangladesh according to Police Narcotic Bureau.

The haul of Heroin detained is estimated as worth around Rs.3.5 Million.The suspect has been produced before Negambo Magistrate Court and the Court has given permission to Narcotic Bureau to question further from the suspect under detention orders.

A 27 year old youth has been arrested by Police at Valvitithurai in Point Pedro(In Northern Province) last night with a stock of 60 Kilo Grammes and 250 Grammes of Kerala Cannabis in his possession .

The arrested stock of Kerala Cannabis has been transported to Sri Lanka through the sea route from India it has been revealed.
