Former President Rajapakshe Was Summoned Again By Special Presidential Commission Today(30)
The former president Rajapakshe has reported as given several statements to the Commission regarding the allegation.
Thirty Nine HNDA Students Arrested Yesterday(29) Have Been Released On Personal Bails
The 39 HNDA Students who were arrested yesterday(29) during the protest campaign held at Ward Place have been released on bail by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya today(30).
Colombo Chief Magistrate has instructed to release the students on personal bails of Rs.10,000 each after they have been produced before Chief Magistrate.
Chief Magistrate has also instructed the Police to arrest and produce the remaining persons who were organized the protest campaign held yesterday.The case was postponed until 08th of January .

Prime Minister Has Instructed Law And Order Minister To Inquire On Yesterday's (30) Attack On HNDA Students
During the Protest Police have used Tear Gas and Water Cannons to disperse the protest of HNDA Students as a group of Students have blocked the Ward Place while marching towards University Grants Commission in Ward Place.A Heavy Traffic Jams reported in Several Roads in Colombo last evening due to this Road Block according to Police,
Police have arrested 39 Protesting Students including Two Buddhist Monks due to a violent behavior the Police have said.
Meanwhile The Human Rights Commission In Sri Lanka too has decided to investigate on yesterday's attack against HNDA Students.
The HNDA Students have conducted a Protest March and a Protest in Ward Place by demanding University Grants Commission to solve their problems including giving Degree Status for their Course.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya Has Today(30) Signed The First Six Amendments Passed At The Current Parliament
Accordingly Speaker Jayasuriya has signed The Financial Act,Value Added Tax (Amendment)Act ,Betting and Gaming(Levy) Act,Economic Service Charge(Amendment)Act,Nation Building Tax(Amendment)Act and Inland Revenue Tax(Amendment) Act.
Bills passed at the Parliament will come into effect as laws after signed by the Speaker.
