Speaker Karu Jayasuriya Has Today(30) Signed The First Six Amendments Passed At The Current Parliament

The Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has today(30) signed the first Six Amendment Bills Passed at the 8th Parliament .

Accordingly Speaker Jayasuriya has signed The Financial  Act,Value Added Tax (Amendment)Act ,Betting and Gaming(Levy) Act,Economic Service Charge(Amendment)Act,Nation Building Tax(Amendment)Act and Inland Revenue Tax(Amendment) Act.

Bills passed at the Parliament will come into effect as laws after signed by the Speaker.
