An Island Wide Shortage Of Dual Purpose Vaccines
There's an Island Wide severe shortage of the newly introduced Dual Purpose Vaccines given to Children Over five years of age to protect from the diseases Diptheria and Tetanus according to the Ministry Of Health,Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine.
Even the Medical Supplies Division do not have sufficient stocks of the Dual Purpose Vaccines to distribute amongst Government Hospitals the Ministry has said.
A stock of Dual Purpose Vaccines is due to arrive Medical Supplies Division on this Thursday and it will help to ease the situation Ministry Sources have said.
The Health Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has advised the Epidemiology Unit to conduct Special Clinics Island wide on this Friday to administer Dual Purpose Vaccines for the children over five years old who are not able to received the vaccine due to the shortage.

Around 1317 "Jersey"Type Australian Cows Imported To Sri Lanka In View Of Uplifting The Fresh Milk Production In The Country
Around 1317 "Jersey" Type Pregnant Cows were imported to Sri Lanka from Australia Yesterday (11) to uplift the Fresh Milk Production in Sri Lanka.
An Animal Transport Ship "Ocean Outback' which carried theses cows had arrived yesterday at Hambanthota Mahinda Rajapaksha International Harbour.These Imported Cows have been later transported to "Ridiyagama' Farm in Ambalanthota(In Southern Province) belonging to National Livestock Board .
These Cows are due to be distributed amongst Milk Farmers of six selected provinces in Sri Lanka in view of increasing Milk Production of the Country according to National Livestock Board.

A Group Of Protesters Marched Towards President House By Demanding Implementation Of Capital Punishment For Child Rapists
As countrywide protests are continuing by demanding to implement capital punishment for the killers of five year old Seya Sademini of Kotadeniyawa and the girl student sivaloganathan vidya of Kilinochchi (In Northern Province) both of whom were brutally rape and killed ,A group of Protesters have today marched towards President's House in Fort from Prime Ministers Office in Colombo and handed over a petition contains their demand.

More Funds Will Be Allocated For Free Health And Educational Services In The Country-President Sirisena
More funds will be allocated from the forthcoming budget for Free Health and Education Services of Sri Lanka according to President Maithripala Sirisena.
"Government's aim is to provide good quality Health and Educational Services for every Sri Lankan Citizen and We have already allocated more funds for Free Health and Educational Services in the country" President has said.
While addressing a function held at Negambo Hospital this morning President Sirisena has said while providing Health and Educational Services for the people government and provincial Councils should working together like a single unit and should not be divided.
