A Probe On The Patient Who Died After Administering A Vaccine
The Ministry Of Health has launched an imvestigation on the death of a 50 year old paitient in Ragama Teaching Hospital after being administered Co-Amoxiclav"vaccine recently according to the Ministry Sources.
Administration of the Ragama teaching hospital is also conducting an internal probe over the incident the sources have stated.According to the reports the patient was admitted to the Ragama teaching hospital on 22nd of March due to a medical condition regarding his,eae and died after being administered the vaccine .

Three High Rank Officers Of SLFP Rmoved From Their Posts
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) had removed three Higher officers of the Party from their Posts during a meeting of District organizers of the Party held yesterday (30) it has been announced.
Accordingly MP Duminda
Dissanayake has been removed from SLFP National organizer post ,Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has been removedf from.Senior vice president post of the Party and Lasantha alagiyawanne had been removed from the treassurer post.
The above MP's were removed from their posts due to holding Ministerial posts in the present Government and Party organizers Sarath Ekanayake,Hector Bethmage and K.P Gunawardena had been replaced them.it has been announced.Meanwhiles the three Ministers who were rwmoved from their posts inSLFP are due to take a legal action against their removal they have stated.

Galagodaatte Thero Was Sentenced To Four Year Imprisonment
The Colombo High Court has today(28) sentenced the General Secretary of BoduBala Sena Group Venerable Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero to four years of rigorous imprisonment over the defamatory comments made by him against islam religion in 2016.
Accordingly Colombo High Court Judge Aditya Patabandige had sentenced Galagodaaate Thero a four year rigorous imprisonment and imposing him a,fine of Rs.100,000.
Four Students Were Drowned At Ma Oya
Four students were drowned whilst bathing in Ma Oya at walakumburaAlawwa area yesterday27) it has been reported.Another student who was drowned had been rescued and hospitalized in critical condition according to Police.
The deceased were attached to a School in Polgahawela area according to reports.
Special Commodity Levy Imposed On Rice And Anions Reduced
Government has reduced the Special Commodity levy imposed on Imported Bombay anions and rice with effect from yesterday(27) it has been announced.
Accordingly Government
reduced the special commodity levy of Rs.65 per Kilo gramme imposed on rice to Rs.1 until 03rd of April and slashed the special commodity levy imposed on Imported anions to Rs.10 per Kilo gramme until 30 th of April.These reductions of special commodity levy has been done under the instructions of President Ranil Wikramasinghe according to the Government
A Sudden Fire Erupted In A Tyre Shop At Armour Street
A sudden fire has broken out at a tyre shop near Armour street in Grandpass this evening (29) causing severe traffic congestion in the area.
Colombo Municipal council had deployed five fire engines to douse the fire .Due to the fire the traffic along Armour street has been restricted to one lane towards.Thr Cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.

Imported Milk Powder Prices Slashed
The prices of Imported Milk poweders in the local market has been reduced with effect from midnight last night (24) according to the Minister of Trade,Commerce and Food safety Nalin Fernando.
Accordingly the Price of a Kilogramme of Imported Milk powder has been reduced by Rs.150 and the price of 400 gramme imported Milk Powder pack reduced by Rs.60.
A Morning Meal Programme To Be Implemented For All Primary School Students Today(25)
The Ministry Of Education is due to provide a morning meal for all the primary section students from Grade 1 to 5 in all schools in the island from today(25) it has been announced.
Accordingly this morning meal programme will be implemented in the primary section classes in All schools between 7.30 a.m to 8.30 a.m in the morning the Education Ministry has stated.This programme is being implemented accordance to the recommendations made by the nutitionists to uplift the nutritional status of the primary section students in the country and to.increase their school attendence it has been revealed.

A fire erupted in the No Limit apparal shop in wellawatta area(Colombo)last evening(24) had been doused vy the Seven fire trucks deployed by Colombo Fire department it has been reported.Thre police along with the residents of the area had assisted the fire fighters to douse the fire it has been revealed.
As the fire spread faster firefighters were unable to.enter the shop to douse the fire according to the reports.The fire destroyed the Apparal shop but no one was injured Due to the fire and no casualties had been repotted according to the Police. The cause of the fire and the damage done as a result have not yet been revealed.

A Female Was Killed Due To Lorry-Motorcycle Collision
A female was killed and another three persons were critically injured and hospitalized due to a Lorry- Mototcycle collision occurred at Galkulama area in Puttalam district today(2 accotding to the Police.
The Injured were admitted to the Puttalam Base Hospital for treatment.The deceased was identified as a 43 year old resident of Anamaduwa area.

Four Persons Arrested With 13,000 KG Of Waste Teqa
The Special Police Task Force (STF) Personal in Gampola area had arrested four persons in possesion of 13,217 Kilo Grammes of waste tea prepared to be sold at Limagaha area in Udunuwara today( 22).
The stock of waste tea taken into custody wasstored in four stores and the STF personal.had handed over the stock of waste tea along with tha four suspects had been handed over to the Dawulagala Police for further action.
No Confidence Motion Against Speaker Was Defeated

Two Day Debate On No Confidence Motion Against Speaker Began
The two day Parliamentary debate on the no Confidence Motion submitted to the Parliament by the main opposition against the Speaker Mahinda yapa Abeywardena had commenced yesterday(19).
The no confidence
Motionagainst the Speaker was submitted to the Parliament on 05th of March with the signatures of 44 opposition MP's including the signature of main opposition leader Sajith Premadasa .
The motion alleges that the speaker disregarded the recommendations made by the Supreme Court regarding various sections of the online safety bill and speaker had unconstitutionally used his decisive vote to confirm the appointment of IGP Deshabandu Thennakoon despite a split decision within the Constitutional Council.

Government To Import 42 Million Eggs For The Festive Season
The Government has decided to import a stock of 42 million eggs for the forthcoming festive season the Government Information Department has announced.
The Cabinet has earlier approved a proposal to import sufficient stocks of Eggs to stabalize the market until 30th of April.Authorities have already imported 18 million eggs from India it has been revealed.The price of Eggs in the local market is on the increase due to the various problems faced by the local poultry farmers.

Twenty Nine Students At Kotalawala Defense Academy Hospitalized
Twenty Nine students attached to the Kotalawala Defense Academy at Nugegalayaya in ,Sevenagala Police division had been hospitalized due to a food poisioning according to the Police.
There were 26 male students and 03 female students among those,admitted to the Suriyawewa Provincial Hospital for treatment it has been reported.The condition of the students is stable according to reports.

Four Police Officers Were Injured Due To An Assault In Thanamalwila Assault
A Drunken driver and another group had assaulted four officers of the Thanamalwila Police who were on traffic duty yesterday(18).The injured Police officers were admitted to the Thanamalwila Hospital for treatment.
As a result Thanamalwila Police have arrested three persons in connection with the assault and they were due to be produced before the Wellawaya Magistrate Court yesterday

Forest Fires Reported In Some Areas Due To Extreme Heat
Due to the hot weather prevails in the island at present Forest fires have been reported from 30 areas in the island during last 10 days according to the Disaster Management Center(DMC).

Only Male Zebra In The Country Died-Dehiwala Zoo
