Several areas in the Southern Province had experienced tremors as a result of the Earthquake occurred in the Indian ocean last noon (01).
The earthquake weighing 5.3 in the richter scale was occured 1260 Kilo meters away from the Indian ocean and as a result tremors occurred in Galle ,Neluwa and Akuressa areas according to the Geology and Mines Bureau.However no Tsunami threat was occurred as a result the Bureau had stated.
