First Sri Lankan Monkeypox Patient Had Been Identified

 

The First Sri Lankan "Monekeypox" positive  had been identified through a "PCR " test carried out by the Medical Research Institute in Colombo yesterday (I03) .Campus update on monkeypox | UCLA

The infected person is a 20 year old boy who had returned from Dubai it has been revealed ,When he got suspicious symptoms he was first referred to the National STD /AIDS Campaign and from there he was transferred to the virology section  in the Medical Research Institute  .

After being tested positive for Monkeypox the patient has been transferred to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Angoda .
