Chairman of the Main local gas supplier Litro Gas Company ,Engineer Vijitha Herath had resigned from his post today (10) due to the Company's inability to pay the amount needed to pay for the Ship carrying 3900 Metric tons of Gas arrived at Colombo harbor two days back .
As a result of the US Dollars shortage faced by the country, authorities had not issued the required amount needed to pay for the ship to clear the stock of Gas it has been reported .
Meanwhile Litro Gas Company had today requested the Public not to be in queues in front of the Gas sale outlets as there will be no distribution of Gas tomorrow (11).
