Minister Of Finance Basil Rajapakshe had issued an Extra ordinary Gazette Notification today (09) restricting the import of 367 non essential Commodities including fruits like Apples ,Grapes and Oranges ,Liquid Milk ,Butter and Cheese to the country with immediate effect .
Accordingly importing of many commodities like psatas,Noodles,processed meat,Foods ,eggs and fruits including Apples ,Grapes,Mangoostin ,Butterfruits had been restricted Finance Minister has said.
These non essential items can be imported for special occassions under special permission it has been announced.
