Around 1000 Containers containing imported essential commodities are being Stucked at Colombo Harbor due to the Dollar shortage in the country according to Importers .
Accordingly these Containers contains essential commodities including sugar ,Coriander ,Big anions ,Potatoes ,Sprats ,Dried fish and other ingredients and some of these food items are nearing to expire they have stated .
Although Government had promised to issue US Dollars to release these containers from the harbor still not been able to issue them as promised Importers have further stated
