Ranjan Ramanyakae's Parliamentary Seat Declared As Vacant

Colombo District candidate of the Samagi Janabalawegaya (SJB) Party Ajith Manapperuma had been sworn is as a MP today (09) in Parliament as he had been nominated for the vacant seat of the Former SJB MP Ranjan Ramanayake who is in prison  over the contempt of court charges 

General Secretary of the parliament Dhammika Dassanyake had informed the National Election Commission recently  that the parliament seat of Samagi Janabalawegaya Mp Ranjan Ramanayake was vacant following the rejection of his bail application .Afterwards the Elections Commission had nominated Ajith Manappaeruma for the Vacant seat through a Gazette notification issued yesterday (08),

Former MP Ramanayake  had not been granted bail as the bail application filed by him had been rejected by the Court of Appeal .
