Ministres and 39 state Ministers had sworn in Before President Gotabaya Rajapakshe and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe at historical Magul Maduwa this morning.(12),
However the majority of the appointed Cavinet and state Ministers are Corrupted personal and more than 10 have court cases pending against them.Those who have involved in Narcotic trade,thuggery and illicit liquor and ethanol businesses had also appointed as Cabinet and state Ministers it has been revealed . Also President is keeping Ministry of Defense within his purview although 19 th ammendment introduced to the constitution not been allowed to do so..
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakshe too keep two Ministries the Ministry of Finance and Housing with his purview.
The Former President Maithripala Sirisena and former Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapakshe are among those did not receive Cabinet Portfolios.
Among those who had been appointed as Cabinet ministers there are 07 newcomers and 05 intellectuals representing "Viyath maga" . some new Ministries had been created for the first time in history like Ministry of Jewelery and related industries, State Ministry of Batik ,State Ministey of Coconut, Kitul and palmyrah and State Ministry of Clay industries and furniture .
