Sri Lanka began quarantine Those who
arriving from Corona Virus hit Italy ,South Korea and Iran today (10)with 181 persons arrived at Katunayake International Airport from South Korea and Italy this morning.
Accordingly 164 Sri Lankans and 02 South Koreans arrived in from South Korea as well as 15 Sri Lankans from Italy had sent to two quarantine Centers established in Batticaloa and Kandakadu in Polonnaruwa through special buses.
However a tense situation had occurred due to the forms distributed among the group which sent for quarantine process srated a sum of Rs.7500 will be charged per person through the 14 day quarantine period for providing accommodation and meals for them .
However due to.the protests of the group Government has later announced that no fees will be charged from the ones undergoing quarantine in Batticaloa and Kandakadu Quarantine Centers
Even Army Commander Lieutinent General Shavendra De Silva had a ssured that there will be no payment charge from those who are undergoing quarantine process on corona virus . .
