Ministry Of Health had today
(09)requested all those who are arriving in countries except Italy ,Iran and South Korea to stay in their houses /lodges and quarantine themselves for 14 days to check whether they are infected with Corona Virus.
According to the Director General. Of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe All Passangers arriving in from corona virus hit Italy ,Iran and South Korea will be quarantined for 14 days at Batticaloa Private Campus and Rehabilitation and Treatment center At kandakadu area in Sungavil ,Polonnaruwa from tomorrow (10).
All other Passangers from other countries should be quarantined themselves whilst staying in their houses /Lodging places for 14 days Dr.Jasinghe has stressed whilst announcing the latest decisions taken by the Health Ministry to avoid spreading Corona virus here at the Health Ministry this evening (10).
He has further stated that all those who are quarantine themselves at home should avoid attending functions and public places during the quarantine period.
"Through the Buddha sasana Ministry all the tour operators are being advised to cancel organising tours temporarily to Dambadiwa ,India as the Corona virus infected persons are being increased in India .If the virus begin spreading here steps like locking down cities where the Corona virus infected persons are staying in and putting road blocks to avoid people from leaving for other cities need to be implemented. To prevent such situation strict meassures need to be implemented .People are being advised to restrict their foreign tours these days to prevent infecting the virus " he has stated.
