Ministry of Health has decided to use
the controversial private University established by Former Eastern Province Governor M.L.A.M. Hisbulla at Batticaloa and rehabilitation Treatment center at Kandkadu area in Sungavil ,Polonnaruwa District to quarantine all the Passangers arriving in from corona Virus hit Italy ,Iran and south Korea for 14 days to check whether they are infected with Corona Virus(Covid-19).
Director General of Health Services Dr.Anil Jasinghe had informed on this through a letter sent to the owners of Batticaloa private University authorities it has been reported .
Earlier Leprosy Hospital at Handala, Wattala had been allocated for quarantine process ,However due time the protests against the decision by the residents of the area hampered this effort.
