Ministry of Health has decided to
quarantine all tourists imcluding Sri Lanka Lankans arriving in from Corona Virus hit Italy, South Korea and Iran for 14 days before sending them back to their houses /Lodging places in view of preventing the spreading of Corona virus here according to Director General of Health Services Dr..Anil Jasinghe .
Addressing a Media briefing held at the Health Ministry auditorium in Colombo this morning (03)Dr.Jasinghe has stated that it will be by task to quarantine a lathe number of tourists arriving in from these countries once for 14 days and Ministry is currently searching a large space locations for this process.
Meanwhile Health Ministry Has decided to inform Sri Lankans and other nationals in Italy, South Korea and Iran through Sri Lankan embassies and governments regarding this quarantine process so the people arriving in Sri Lanka from these countries could be minimised he has stressed.
Ministry has also informed the Sri Lanka Ports Authority to stop disembarking of Passangers in All.Passanger shops and other ships with effect from.tomorrow as a step to stop spreading corona virus through these Passangers.
These decisions had been taken at the meeting of National security action committee on Corona virus held this morning at the Health Ministry.
