Colombo Additional Magistrate
Kanchana Neranjani De Silva has today (24)released the Former Minister Of Megapolis Patali Champika Ranawake who had arrested and remanded last weekend ,on bail .
The former Minister MP Ranwake had been released on a cash bail of Rs.25,000 and two surety bails of Rs.500,000 each .
MP Patali Chsmpika Ranawake had been arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division last friday over an accident happened in 2016 at Rajagiriya area.Later he was remanded over the incident.
However both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament had criticized the way he was arrested without infirming the Speaker .
Colombo Additional Magistrate Neranjani Silva had ordered to release MP Ranawake accordance to the bail application submitted by his lawyers as although Attorney General never instructed the Colombo Crimes Division to arrest MP Ranawake under the Public properties act and Police had arrested him under that act it has been revealed .
Asditional Magistrate has ordered MP Ranawake to appear before Colombo Crimes Division every last sunday of the month .
