The driver and the conductor of the Bus
which drifted away by flood waters between manampitiya and Gallalla areas of the Polonnaruwa-Batticaloa main road last morning (21) had been arrested and remanded until 27 th of December yesterday .
Traffic police unit of the Polonnaruwa Police had arrested the Driver and conductor of the Bus over the charges of irresponsible driving and attempting to harm passanger's lives by running the Bus in flood waters , and produced before the Polonnaruwa magistrate.
Additional Magistrate has then ordered to remand the suspects until 27 th .
The Bus travelling from Maduru oya to Colombo had drifted away by flood waters at gallalla area last morning and forces and relief groups have rescued all 54 passangers of the Bus unharmed.
