Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has today
(19)announced that a party leaders meeting will be held this week to take a decision on ,the way the government activities should be carried out due to the people's mandate given to President Gotabaya Rajapakshe at the presidential election .
According to the Speaker one of the proposed altetnative meassures given below will be taken at the talks .They are-
(01)Dissolving the Parluament in March 2020 and holding the General Election in April.
(02) Voluntarily providing two third majority to dissolve the parliament
(03) resignation of Prime Minister and the Cabinet .
Meanwhile Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe held talks with President Gotabaya Rajapakshe this evening (19)at Presidential Secretariet regarding functioning the govetnment under present circumstances.
