Minister of Sports Harin Fernando had
posted a message in his Twitter account today (10)saying the name of the Sri Lanka podujana peramuna (SLPP) Presidential Candidate Nandadasa Gotabaya Rajapakshe was not there in the newest List of persons who had been removed their American citizenship issued by US State Department for the month of November .
Therefore Gotabaya Rajapakshe is still an American Citizen and not eligible to contest the forthcoming Presidential election due to his dual citizenship status Minister Fernando has stressed .
Even he is elected as president he will not be able to hold the post due to this situation Minister has stated .
Meanwhile MP Namal Rajapakshe has respomded to Minister Harin Fernando's remarks on SLPP Candidate Gotabaya Rajapakshe by posting a message to his Twitter account saying Gotabaya is not an Americzn Citizen anymore.
