most areas in Puttalam District including wannathivu and Rathmalyaya areas had been submerged following the overflowing of many rivers in the district it has been repĆ³orted .
As a result of heavy showers 04 sluice gates of Thabbowa Reservoir had been opened as water level reached it's spill level .
