President Maithripala Sirisena had
taken over the State owned National Rupavahini Corporation under the State Defense Ministry with effective from midnight tonight (09)through an extraordinary Gazette Notification issued by Presidential Secretariet.
President has taken over the Rupa RupavahinI Corporation under the State Defence Ministry which is under his authority due to the administration problem Occured in the corporation since few months it has been revealed .
The Administration of the Rupavahini Corporation had collapsed due to the problems arisen between the Chairperson Inoka Satyangani and two formerly appointed heads Sanjeeva Wijegunawardana and Kalum Palitha Mahiratme it has revealed.
The Chairperson appointed by Fomer Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera had obstructed other two heads from carrying out their duties it had been reported
