More Than 10,000 Local And Foreign Tourists Had Been Visited Sigiriya During Weekend

More than 10,000 local and foreign tourists mainly locals had been visited Historical Sigiriya fortress since yesterday (18)according to the Secretary of the Ministey Of Cultural Affairs Bernard Wasantha .

Many local tourists have been visited Sigiriya since yesterday due to the three day programme introduced by Central Cultural Fund for locals to access Sigiriya free of charge it has been revealed. This programme will be concluded tomorrow  (Momday ).

Due to the large number of arrivals a queue has been seen on top of the Sigiriya fortress according to reports .People also visited the display of ancient art works recovered through excavations in Sigiriya held at Sigiriya museum.

Yesterday (18) Herbal water dan sala was held at Sigiriya premises for the visiting tourists.

Security is being provided to the visitors coming to Sigiriya authorities have stated .
