Around 64 Sri Lankans deported back To Sri Lanka After Arresting Them At ReUnion Island In France

French authorities have today  (14) deported 64 Sri Lankans including 54 males ,06 females and 04 children back to Sri Lanka  after arresting them  in the French colonial island  Reunion where they have arrived in illegally by a boat .

The deportees who are residents of Negambo ,Chilaw and Jaffna areas had been arrested by the French security officials after entering the Reunion Island it has been revealed .They have left for the Reunion island from Sri Lanka  .

After arresting the group of Sri Lankans at Reunion Island located near Madagascar island,  they have been deported back to Sri Lanka from  a special French flight Boeing  -737 -800 escorted by 70 French Security personal.The flight which arrived at Katunayake International Airport this evening was organized by Sri Lankan Embassy in France.

The suspects had been handover  over to the immigration  and Emigration officIals on their arrival and thereafter the group was handed over to the officials of National Spying service for furher investigations.
