A Police officer in Kadawatha Police
division had been injured and hospitalized after the firearm in his possession had accidently fired whilst struggling with a person who had transported a haul of Heroin in a Three Wheeler near the " Bo"Tree at Kadawatha town this evening (14).
The injured Police officer had been admitted to Ragama Teaching Hospital for teatment as one-of his hands injured due to the incident.
The incident occurred when the Police officer had attempted to take the 22 year old Three Wheeler Driver who had transported 10 Grammes of Heroin in the Three Wheeler, to the Police station.
Later Police have arrested the suspect with the wife ,child and mother who were also in the three Wheeler at the time of the incident .
