Department of Police have appointed
11 Police Teams including Police officers belonging to Colombo ,Crimes Division for a search mission to arrest two unidentified Gunmen who had shot and killed four persons and injuring another eight persons in Kudawella Fisheries Harbour ,Tangalle (Southern Province )this morning (25).
The 11 Police Teams are due to carry out their investigations by using CCTV footages and data collected through Telephone Towers according to Police .
Two Unidentified Gunmen arrived in from a Motorcycle this morning by covering their faces from Full face helmets and shot and killed four persons and injuring another eight persons and fled away from the scene.
The gunmen have used a T-56 firearm and a pistol for the gun shooting incident it has been revealed.
The deceased were residents of villages based in Kudawella area and Police believes the incident may have a contract to kill a group of persons as a result of a dispute among two groups in Fisheries Harbour.
Eight Injured persons are currently receiving treatment in Tangalle Hospital.
