Angelo Matthews Had Resigned From Captaincy of One Day And T-20

Sri Lankan One day and T-20 captain Angelo Matthews had resigned from his captaincy yesterday (23)after  chairman of National Cricket  selection committee Graham LaBrooy and National Cricket Coach Chandika Hathurusinghe had requested him to do so.

Angelo Matthews had stated that he is ready to consider retirement of cricket if the authorities found he is unfit to play the game ,he has said through a letter sent to Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket Ashley De Silva .

Sri Lankan Team.made an early exit at the Asian Cup Cricket Tournament last week after lost hack to back games to Bangladesh and Afganistan.

Through the letter Angelo said Cricket Authorities attempting to put whole responsibility of the defeats on him.However he can  only take a part of responsibility.

Test Captian Dinesh Chandimal has been appointed as new captian of one day and T- 20 Intetnationals for the forthcoming England cricket series.
