Around Rs.80.7 Million Worth Cash And Gold Have Been Robbed From A State Bank In Anuradhapura

A State Bank branch in Thalawa Anuradhapura was robbed by an individual or a group and taken Cash and Gold worth Rs.80.7 million it has been revealed.
The robbery believes to be done during the weekend and the robbers had entered the Bank by breaking  the back door  and had cut three out of the four highly safe deposit lockers  of the Bank by using Gas Cutters and taken around 22.5 kilo grammes of Gold worth more than  Rs.70 million and cash worth Rs,10.7 million and fled away from the scene it has been revealed.
Before the robbery the robbers had removed the Defense Signal System of the Bank and removed and taken the CCTV Cameras with them according to them.
The Bank Manager has found out on the Robbery this morning after opening the Bank and he quickly complained on it to the Thalawa Police.
Police believed that the Robbers may have involved in cutting the safe lockers from Saturday morning to Sunday morning as they were Bank holidays.
This Robbery is the biggest one reported in a financial institute at Anuradhapura according to reports.
