Former JVP Leader Rohana Wijeweera's Wife Had Filed A Petition Demanding To Produce His Missing Husband To The Court

The wife of the Founder of leftist Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna(JVP-Peoples Liberation Front ) Rohana Wijeweera , Srimathi Chitrangani Jayaweera has today(29) filed a Habaescorpus Petition at the Court Of Appeal demanding the producing of her missing Husband  who was arrested by the Security forces during the  1989 terror period  over the revolution he had launched to any formal court in the country.

The petitioner has named 11 persons including the Attorney General as respondents of the case.

According to the wife of Rohana Wijeweera the JVP Leader,her husband was arrested by the Government Security Forces on 12th of November in 1989 at Ulapane ,Matale and since then during last 29 years he was not produce before a Court and the Government still not inform her whether her husband is still live or not .

The petitioner has also requested the Court of Appeal to issue a Court order requesting an full inquiry over the whereabouts of her husband.
