Four persons have been arrested by the Airport Customs this morning (22) at the Katunayake,Airport while attempting to smuggle five Gold Pieces and Biscuits to the country illegally by hidden them in their rectum and underwear .The four passengers of the ages 38,39.44 and 45 years have arrived from Dubai with the Gold Pieces and Biscuits weighing around 450 grammes and one of them hidden two Gold Biscuits in his rectum and three others have hidden three Gold Pieces in their underwear and trouser pocket according to the Customs.
The suspects are residents of Colombo and Kegalle and the stock of Gold taken in to custody in theri possession is around Rs.2.7 million .
Airport Customs are investigating over the incident.
