A 55 year old British Citizen of Sri Lankan origin has been arrested by the Airport Customs Officers this morning (23)while attempting to smuggle two Gold Biscuits weighing 100 Grammes each hidden in his trouser pocket illegally ,at the Katunayake ,Bandaranaike International Airport.
The suspect who had arrived at the Airport by a "Fly Dubai " flight from Dubai was arrested while walking out of the Airport through the Green Channel in wee hours of this morning.The Two Gold Biscuits were hidden in a Wallet at his trouser pocket and one of his shoes it has been revealed.
The estimated value of the Gold Biscuits taken in to custody is around Rs.1.3 million according to Customs.
