A large amount of ready made cloths
have been destroyed due to a huge fire suddenly erupted in a Store house belonging to a popular Cloth shop located at Borupana road near Hindu Collage in Ratmalana this evening(12).
The fire which was erupted in the store house where the ready made cloths stored in the first floor of the three storied cloth shop building soon spreaded to the other two floors of the building it has been reported.
The fire which lasted around five hours have doused by the fire brigades of Dehiwala,Mount Lavinia and Moratuwa Urban Councils and the fire brigade of the Colombo Municipal Council.
The store house of the cloth shop received extensive damages and no casualties have been reported due to the fire as the few workers who were in the floor where the fire had erupted quickly moved out from the floor at the time of the incident according to the authorities.
The cause of the fire not yet been revealed.
