The revised petition filed by the Former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakshe by requesting to acquit him from all the charges of Avant Garde Floating Armory Case was dismissed by the Colombo High Court Judge Sampath Wijeratne today(02).
The Bribery Commission had filed a case against eight persons including Former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakshe by accusing them of incurring a loss Rs.114 Million to the Country by permitting the Avant Garde Company to maintain a floating armory in Sri Lankan seas.
Through the revised petition filed by the Former Defense Secretary ,he had stated that the Bribery Commission had filed a case against him and seven others over the Floating Armory case without obtaining a written approval and requested the Court to rule the act of Commission as unlawful.
