A 28 year old Ukrainian National had swept away due to the strong currents of the sea while bathing with his wife at Balapitiya Beach (Southern Province) it has been reported.The missing Ukrainian National's wife had also swept away due to sea currents ,However residents of the area had managed to save her life.
The Navy along with the Police have launched a joint rescue mission to find the missing Ukrainian National who was on a holiday in Sri Lanka.
