Government Pharmacists have decided to resort a continuous Island Wide trade union action from next Monday(16) by demanding to restore the suspended work list of Government Pharmacists attached to Provincial Drug stores throughout the Island which suspended by Director General of Health Services Dr.Jayasundara Bandara recently without vesting any work to those Pharmacists according to the Government Pharmacists Union.
The Executive committee of the Pharmacists Union is due to meet this Sunday(15) to decide the nature of the trade union action due to launch the president of the Union Ajith Thilakaratne has stated.
Director General Of Health Services Dr.Bandara has suspended the work list of Pharmacists attached to provincial Drug Stores and due to this a group of people who do not have any knowledge on drugs are currently handling the issuing of drugs to provincial hospitals he has stressed.
