Police Officers attached to the Terrorism Investigations Division have arrested six members of the "Ava"sword group including it's leader Sathyawelnadan Nishanthan alias Nisha Victor , who are responsible for several stabbings and killings in Jaffna recently at Mattakuliya and Jaffna areas today(07).Accordingly Three of the "Ava" Group members have been arrested in Pettah Bus Stand,Two suspects were arrested in Jaffna and another suspect was arrested at Mattakkuliya the Police Media Department has announced.Along with the suspects two swords and a Motorcycle in possession of them have also taken in to custody by the Police.
These suspects were arrested after the investigations conducted under the instructions of Inspector General Of Police Pujitha Jayasundare.
