A pedestrian was killed last night in Mawathagama area on Kandy -Kurunagala main road after colliding with a motor car traveling from Kurunagala to Kandy .The critically injured pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries after admission to Mawathagama Hospital.
The whereabouts of the deceased has not yet been determined.The motorist had fled away after the incident and later surrendered to the Katugasthota Police it has been reported.
